Octopi began as a research project in Prakash Lab at Stanford University to create a low-cost automated microscopy solution for malaria diagnosis in low-resource settings, and is now being developed and deployed by a spin-off company, Cephla. Over the years, we have been fortunate to collaborate and work with researchers and global health experts around the world with an aim to develop a global platform for AI-powered disease diagnostics.
