Octopi began as a research project in Prakash Lab at Stanford University to create a low-cost automated microscopy solution for malaria diagnosis in low-resource settings, and is now being developed and deployed by a spin-off company, Cephla. Building a global platform for AI-powered disease diagnostics is a collaborative effort - one that no single organization can solve alone. We partner with leading researchers and health experts from around the world to make this vision a reality.
